Uduaghan Carpets Funkekeme, As APC Accuses PDP of Electoral Fraud

By Mc Paul

The immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has described the Director General of Delta State PDP Campaign Organisation, Mr. Funkekeme Solomon as his biggest disappointment. Adding that he thought that Funkekeme, who was his inner caucus member for 14 years will be the last person to manifest what he termed as the "anti-Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan virus".

Uduaghan said this while responding to the claims of Funkekeme Solomon who accused the former governor of bitterness against the PDP, which has made him to form synergy with the national Chairman of APC, Comr. Adams Oshiomhole to rig the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Delta State.

Funkekeme said, "And to fulfill this crazy obsession and insane desire, the APC Chairman ex-comrade Oshiomhole, has connived with ex-governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, who is still very bitter that he could not get an automatic ticket as the PDP Delta South Senatorial candidate and whose "bad belle" for PDP has been increased with his embarrassing defeat at the just concluded Senatorial election as well as Chief Great Ogboru, who is ready to do a deal even with the devil himself, in order to fulfill his vaunting ambition to govern Delta State, and they are hell bent on turning Delta State into a theatre of war and unleash a potential orgy of blood bath in the State, once these ex-militants are let loose on the innocent people of our dear State".

In his response, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan said those with the history of cultism and violence are know in the State.

The statement which he made on his Facebook timeline reads, "My brother, my friend, my former Commissioner for Works, Funkekeme Solomon, I celebrate you today and always.

"The anti-Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan virus has bitten you. I thought you will be the last person to manifest the symptoms. I was wrong.

"As an inner caucus member of my team for over 14 years, I know you are well aware of my commitment and dedication to promoting peace. In and out of Government, I will continue to do so. I have always preached against election violence.

"You and I prepared for, executed and won several elections. Did we ever budget for thuggery? Did we ever buy guns or military uniforms?

"I just contested for Senate in our Senatorial District. Were you told I used military uniforms or guns, or even any other weapon? The APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, and I, have never been known to be violent people. We know those who have history of cultism and violence.

"I pray you get what you have been promised, which has pushed you to raise the false alarm against us. Many who travelled this route are getting disappointed as they are coming out empty handed. Please pray very hard to drop the "hate spirit".

"Take care and remember always, "Back tyre nor dey overtake front tyre."

APC ACCUSES PDP OF RIGGING

In a related development, the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has said the PDP has history of electoral malpractices, alleging that the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections were rigged in Delta South under the nose of Funkekeme Solomon, the DG of the Delta State PDP Campaign Council.

The statement, which was signed by the publicity secretary of APC in Delta State, Sylvester Imonina in response to a press release of the PDP titled "APC planning to use ex-militants dressed in military uniforms to cause mayhem, disrupt March 9, elections", also noted that "APC as a responsible party does not believe and/or engage in those nefarious old faction PDP known ways of rigging elections".

The statement reads in part, "It is very clear to discerning minds that the spurious and unfounded allegations of PDP in the said Press Release is a ruse and subterfuge to divert attention from the nefarious and evil plans of Delta State PDP towards 9th of March 2019 Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Delta State. Deltans should be wary of PDP cry. Rather,  Deltans should ask PDP how results from Patani, Bomadi, Burutu and part of Warri South-West LGAs, located in the creeks of Delta State, a scarcely populated areas, came about, and plentier than results from the densely populated eight LGAs of Delta Central Senatorial Zones and Warri South combined!

"APC had it on impeccable authority that the materials meant for elections on the 23rd of February 2019, in the above mentioned LGAs in the creeks were hijacked and taken to a militants' camp around Ayakoromo in Burutu LGA, where there was mass thumbprint of same by militants, under the supervision of PDP. With the help of PDP cronies in INEC, results were manufactured from the the PDP coup d'etat.

"Now, coming to PDP spurious allegations against APC and her leader, it is strange to note that PDP failed to mention the Followings:
1) The location where militirary uniforms were being sewed for militants.
2) The location where ex-militants and/or thugs are camped and/or kept by APC!
3) Naming those PDP members marked for arrest or to be placed under forced house arrest.

"Deltans, with all sense of responsibility, APC as a responsible Party does not believe and/or engage in those nefarious old faction pdp known ways of rigging elections. APC believes in "one man, one Vote" but PDP and her rigging machines are afraid of this, hence, this unnecessary political mudslinging.

"However, we want to state that with the help of God and the resolve of the good people of Delta State, yearning for positive change, the anathemic PDP shall be consigned and thrown into an abyss of no return", Imonina said.
