Isoko is Proud of Chief Iduh's Developmental Strides -- Okperi

A prominent son of the Isoko ethnic group and former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Barr.) Lucky Okperi has commended High Chief Iduh Amadhe, the President General of Isoko Development Union, IDU for his developmental strides in Isoko nation, particularly the construction of the Isoko Unity House and Secretariat of the IDU at Oleh.

Okperi, who stated this on Monday in Asaba while congratulating the IDU President on his birthday, also said Chief Iduh Amadhe has successfully set a standard for other ethnic bodies within Delta State to follow. He said the focus and visionary leadership of Iduh will also keep successive leadership of the IDU on track, which he said, will guarantee more development for Isokoland.

"On this special occasion of Chief Iduh Amadhe's birthday, I want to commend him for all his contributions so far to keep the Isoko ethnic group on the part of peace, unity and progress. As a President of IDU, Chief Iduh has shown the resolve and love of the Isoko people towards developmental ideals. He has been able to show true leadership, which is currently being emulated by other ethnic groups in the State.

"The construction and development of the IDU Secretariat in Oleh among others is a legacy that will keep subsequent leadership of IDU on the right path and bring further developments to the Isoko ethnic group. I must say that Isoko people, irrespective of clannish or political sentiments, are proud Chief Iduh and are solidly behind him and IDU. Therefore, I want to encourage him to further use his office to undertake, attract and lobby for more infrastructural development for Isokoland", Okperi stated.

Okperi, who is also the patron of the Isoko Equity Group, IEG, also called on all well-meaning Isoko sons and daughters and those in privilege positions to give all necessary support and assistance to IDU in the interest of the progress of Isokoland.
