You Killed DBS, DRTV & Pointer Newspaper, Journalist Blasts Ukah on his Birthday

A seasoned Journalist and ardent political critic, Amour Udemude has sent a strong worded note to Delta State Information Commissioner, Mr. Patrick Ukah on his birthday, accusing him of killing DBS Asaba, DRTV Warri and the State owned Pointer Newspaper.

The Journalist, who noted that Ukah has no footprints after four years in office despite the millions of Naira being budgeted for for the maintenance of the State media houses, described Ukah as the worse Information Commissioner the State has had since creation in 1991.

The Birthday statement reads:

"He is Patrick Ukah from Okpanam kingdom of Delta State and they said today is his birthday, but he is the worst Commissioner for Information, Delta state ever had since creation.

"He is a monumental failure and disappointment and it is on record that DBS Asaba and DRTV Warri have not had it so very very very very bad like this since the creation of the State and establishment of the three State owned media houses.

"Ukah is leaving DBS Asaba and DRTV Warri worst than he met them, what a big SHAME.

"What a shame that in four years, Ukah, an erratic and inexperienced commissioner, good at wasting millions of naira on privately owned media houses for live coverages of State events as well as on frivolity, could not boast of radio and TV Outside Broadcast (OB Vans) for the two media houses as these media houses remain shadows of themselves and in a state of comatose.

"Just few weeks ago, staffers of the DRTV Warri, embarked on strike over what they termed 'lack of working tools, unfriendly working environment and gross neglect of the station.'

"Every year, it is on record that millions of naira are budgeted for these media houses and what can Ukah boast of that he was able to achieve in these years?

"UKAH, what will you be remembered for as a commissioner for information, Delta State?

"UKAH, without mincing words, you remain a monumental failure and disappointment as far as DBS Asaba and DRTV Warri are concerned and my prayers and wishes for you this day is that, NEVER AGAIN will your type be appointed as Information Commissioner in Delta State to kill our DBS Asaba and DRTV Warri and the Pointer Newspapers that were before now the pride of our dearest Delta State in Jesus name Amen", he concluded.
